Courses

The ICA has always believed that they way to empower women is through education. We know that what is learned cannot be taken away and we have always striven to ensure that our members can avail of courses and education initiatives to improve their lives and those of their families.

AN GRIANÁN BROCHURE 2018

 

 

In recognition of the strong emphasis we give to livelong learning and education, the ICA was very fortunate to receive a charitable bequest in 1954 from the Kellogg Foundation of An Grianán House in Termonfeckin in Co. Louth. An Grianán which means Sunny Place in Irish, is a beautiful Edwardian manor house with many original features, situated on 88 acres of park land with mature trees and a gentle path the sea. An Grianán is our residential Adult Education Centre and sleeps up to 125 people in the main house and the outlying bungalows.

Although The ICA has been running courses for our members since the 1950s, it is not just our members who can benefit. Renowned for our hospitality, good food and warm welcome, our courses at An Grianán are now open to everyone, men, women and children and there is a huge variety of the courses on offer everything from Aromatherapy to Youghal lace.
