Guild Year Book for the Betty Manning Trophy Closing Date 30 April 2015

The competition for 2014-2015 is to produce a Guild Year Book which will give details of all guild activities for the year.

The Year Book will be from September 2014 to April 2015.  Entries to be sent to ICA Central Office 58, Merrion Road, Ballsbridge,Dublin 4 marked “Guild of the Year” by Tuesday 30 April 2015 for judging.  Results will be announced at the AGM in May 2015.  Guilds entering will pay €10 euro entry fee, cheques payable to ICA Contests.

The Year Book will be a record of all the things the Guild does during that ICA year with and for their members.  It should include photographs, reports or anything of relevance to a particular Guild event.  The Year Book should promote the Guild by including information on Guild meetings, outings, classes, workshops, activities such as crafts/ drama/ sports etc.  The Year Book should tell of the fun and friendship had by Guild members and of how the Guild looked after the members. The Year Book should tell of charitable work and community involvement.  It should tell of successes of members and of the Guild.  It should tell of Guild involvement at Federation and National level.

It may be handwritten and/or computer generated. Presentation will be important.  The Year Book must be A4 size.

The Guild Year Book must be the work of at least three Guild members but we would envisage it being a real Guild effort with various people being involved through the ICA year in recording events as they happen.
