Kildare Federation
About the Federation
Welcome to Kildare Federation Information page. We have many Guilds spread throughout the county that are ready and waiting to welcome you whatever your interests.
The Kildare ICA Federation was formed in 1953 at a meeting held in Straffan and the first President of the Federation was Ms. Duncan from Kill.

Federation Activities
Our activities include crafts, community development work and representation at national level. We have been involved with the National Ploughing Championships for three years.
At the moment we have a number of vibrant Guilds in Kildare, all of which meet once a month, not only to organise and partake in activities such as pitch and putt, dancing, art, yoga, computer classes, competitions, trips to places of interest, outings to the theatre, weekends away to An Grianán, but also to discuss and represent women’s views, to provide women with opportunities for personal development, mutual support, education and information, and issues that are fundamental to the provision of equality for women in Irish society.
