COFACE’s President Drieskens’ speech at the European Parliament

🔴COFACE’s President Annemie Drieskens spoke at the European Parliament on the importance of women’s participation in the job market and women’s leadership.
Together, we want to empower women at work and in the family by closing the gender care gap as a condition to close the gender pay and pension gap.

🔴Today, women have gained an important place in the labour market, but they face constant challenges in reconciling work and care for children or dependent adults. Inevitably, this impacts their participation in the labour market.

👉To empower women at work and in the family, COFACE works on 3 key areas too:
– Advocating for well-paid family leaves and other Work-Life Balance;
– The recognition of unpaid care work;
– The impact of Covid on women.
